TAX ACCOUNTANT

Salary - Negotiable - DOE

Mid-size CPA firm located in the Galleria area is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial statements meet the regulatory and business requirements as required by law

  • Map and execute the tax process for client engagements

  • Conduct detailed reviews and research issues related to the tax process

  • Prepare tax returns and produce final returns for submission

  • Identify book to tax differences and address with tax team

  • Formulate a plan to resolve issues and mitigate exposures

PROJECT MANAGER - TANK CONSTRUCTION

Industrial equipment services company is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Houston, TX. Reporting to the General Manager, will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales and estimating (sustaining a minimum volume of business)
  • Turn Key management of projects from estimating/closing to invoicing including yearly inspection/maintenance requirements
  • Project proposals and submittals
  • Attend weekly meetings with General Manager to discuss ongoing and future projects as well as revenue projection
  • Procurement and management of all labor, materials, sub-contractors and equipment required to complete the project
  • Liaise with the owner, inspectors and engineers regarding site matters
  • Cost control of project (approving purchases and site spending) and related reports
  • Quality assurance for work performed on projects to ensure compliance to specification and requirements
  • Maintain C3 designation
  • Maintain QPI and QP2 requirements of all project sites
  • Ensure site work is performed in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA regulations, QPI and QP2 requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure that site work is performed in an environmentally safe manner (and that all required documentation is maintained) in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations
